2e - TURQUIE - TURKEY
J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir visiter plusieurs pays grace à mon travail en tant que Gestionnaire de projet informatique Senior pour la compagnie Action Consulting et mon contrat avec Tupperware Europe, commençons par la Turquie, aussi mes petites virées de fin de semaine que je ne retournais pas à Milan, m'a permis aussi de visiter la Grèce, la Bulgarie, la Roumanie, la Moldavie et l'Ukraine.
Istanbul, cette merveilleuse ville avec ses fortifications, ses marchés, ses anciens aqueducs et ses mosquées. J'ai pu visiter de fond en comble la ville de jour comme de nuit. Son côté Européen et Asiatique. J'ai bien aimé mon expérience et aimerais bien y retourner, peut être que me je taperais un voyage Européen de Lisbonne, Portugal à Istanbul, Turquie un jour.
I had the chance to visit several countries, thanks to my work as a IT Senior Project Manager for the company Action Consulting with my contract with Tupperware Europe, let's start with Turkey, also during the weekends that I did not return to Milan allowed him to visit Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.
Istanbul, this wonderful city with its fortifications, its markets, its ancient aqueducts and its mosques. I was able to visit the city from top to bottom, day and night. Its European and Asian side. I really liked my experience and would like to go back, maybe I would take a European trip from Lisbon, Portugal to Istanbul, Turkey one day.
Le cœur de la ville d'Istanbul et ses magnifiques taxis jaunes. À mon arrivé à l'aéroport, pour ma première fois à Istanbul, je n'avais que l'adresse de mon bureau et rien d'autre. Seul, j'ai sauté dans un taxi et il a démarré sont compteur. Arrivé à mon bureau, j'ai payé en Euro, car il acceptait les Euro, et même les dollars américains mais pas les dollars canadiens. Lorsque j'ai remit mon reçu à mon chef de projet, il m'a demandé ou est-ce-que j'avais été, c'était presque dix fois le prix normal. Par la suite, il m'a demandé quel compteur il avait mi en marche, je n'avais même pas remarqué qu'il y avait deux compteurs. Pour mon baptême d'Istanbul j'ai eu droit à un cours accélérer de Turc par mon chef de projet. Le lendemain matin de l'hôtel à mon travail, j'ai tous simplement demandé au chauffeur d'activer son compteur de droite, sans rien dire et donné mon adresse en Turc au chauffeur. Le compteur de gauche était un compteur sur la cocaïne, clic,clic,clic,clic, ... Celui de droite était plus sur le marijuana, clic,,,,,,,,,,clic,,,,,,,,,,clic,,,,,,,,,, . Pour une différence de près de dix fois moins cher.
The heart of the city of Istanbul and its magnificent yellow taxis. When I arrived at the airport, for my first time in Istanbul, I only had the address of my office and nothing else. Alone, I jumped in a taxi and it started on the meter. Arriving at my office, I paid in Euro, because it accepted Euros, and even American dollars but not Canadian dollars. When I handed my receipt to my project manager, he asked me where had I been, it was almost ten times the normal price. Afterwards, he asked me which meter he had started, I hadn't even noticed that there were two meters. For my baptism in Istanbul I was entitled to an accelerated Turkish course from my project manager. The next morning from the hotel to my work, I simply asked the driver to activate his right meter, without saying anything and gave my address in Turkish to the driver. The counter on the left was a counter on cocaine, click, click, click, click, ... The one on the right was more on marijuana, click,,,,,,,,,,click,,,,,,, ,,,click,,,,,,,,,,, . For a difference of almost ten times cheaper.

Une dame qui est en train de cuisiner dans la vitrine de son restaurant ci-dessus et ci-dessous un de mes restaurants préférés de poulet à la broche. Vous obtenez un poulet, un breuvage et un pain pour environ 5$ CND, quels merveilleux repas. Je me souviens aussi de la dame qui était dans le lobby de nos bureaux avec son petit grille pita et ses merveilleux genre pita sandwich avec je présume du jambon et son fromage fondant. Je dis je présume, car la traduction en Turc ressemblait plus à du rat, mais bon, très bon au gout. Dans des restaurants autour de mon bureau, j'ai eu aussi l'occasion de manger du ragout de rat, mais bon, peut être une sorte de rongeur, personne ne semblait pouvoir me dire le mot en anglais. Disons que la bouffe à Istanbul était fabuleuse. Mon préféré était un genre de lame rempli de viande quelconque de pret de 2 pieds de long et on enlevait la viande dans notre assiette. Un délice que je n'ai malheureusement pas revue dans aucun restaurant Turc à travers mes périples. J'ai la faim qui vient de me prendre, pas évident à Iqaluit, à cet heure du matin !!!!
A lady cooking in the window of her restaurant above and below one of my favorite roasted chicken restaurants. You get a chicken, a drink and a bun for around $5 CND, what a wonderful meal. I also remember the lady who was in the lobby of our offices with her little pita grill and her wonderful pita sandwich type with, I presume, ham and melted cheese. I say I presume, because the Turkish translation sounded more like a rat, but hey, very good taste. In restaurants around my office, I also had the opportunity to eat rat stew, but hey, maybe some kind of rodent, no one seemed to be able to tell me the word in English. Let’s just say the food in Istanbul was fabulous. My favorite was a type of blade filled with random meat about 2 feet long and we removed the meat onto our plate. A delight that I have unfortunately not seen in any Turkish restaurant throughout my travels. I'm hungry now, not easy in Iqaluit at this time of the morning!!!!

Un des endroits le plus populaire avec sa rue qui descendait à perte de vue. Avec ses boutiques sans fin et son petit tramway qui vous permettait de revenir au point de départ sans fatigue. Ci-dessous, mon dépanneur favori qui était juste en face de mon hôtel, grâce à ce dépanneur, j'ai aussi eu la chance d'avoir mon chauffeur de taxi privé qui me traînait partout pour pas cher, de Milan je lui envoyais mon horaire et il m'attendait à l'aéroport près des bagages. J'ai aussi pu profiter de son grand cœur pendant la fête du travail, pour me faire accueillir chez lui, dans sa famille près de la frontière avec la Grèce. J'ai aussi eu la chance d'avoir une de ses voitures modèle Murat 1920 +/-, pour pouvoir faire quelques petites virées intéressantes vers le Nord. La photo ci-dessous n'est pas la sienne, disons que celle la est dans un état presque parfait.
One of the most popular places with its street that goes down as far as the eye can see. With its endless shops and its little tram that allowed you to return to the starting point without tiring. Below, my favorite convenience store which was right in front of my hotel, thanks to this convenience store, I was also lucky to have my private taxi driver who took me everywhere for cheap, from Milan I sent him my schedule and he was waiting for me at the airport near the luggage. I was also able to take advantage of his big heart during Labor Day, to welcome me to his home, to his family near the border with Greece. I was also lucky enough to have one of his Murat 1920 +/- model cars, so I could make some interesting little trips to the North. The photo below is not his, let's say that this one is in almost perfect condition.

Une de mes photos préférées, lors de mes nombreuses marches autour d'Istanbul, j'aimais bien ses maisons et ses marches en hauteur avec ses escaliers à perte de vue.

Après avoir passé près de six mois à voyager Milan-Istanbul-Milan, j'ai eu droit à la totale à mon arrivé à Istanbul, mon permis de séjour avait expiré la veille de mon arrivé, je devais renouveler mon permis avant de partir d'Istanbul et non à mon arrivé, Alors, j'étais coincé entre l'arrivé, la sécurité et la sortie, le seul moyen était que quelqu'un passe la sécurité prenne mes papiers, passe au comptoir de permis qui était à quelques pas de la sécurité, mais du mauvais côté, je n'ai jamais compris cela. À ma première entrée, j'ai entrée en tant que touriste, mais quand même. Alors suite à mon nouveau permis de travail, j'ai eu droit à la fouille intégrale, je dis bien INTÉGRALE. Mon passeport était la cause de cette fouille, un Canadien, qui vit à Milan, Italie, avec toutes les pages de mon passeport estampés de tous les pays que j'ai été, a levé le doute sur moi. Semblerait que ma prostate se portait bien. J'ai finalement pu retourner au travail.
After having spent almost six months traveling Milan-Istanbul-Milan, I was entitled to the full search when I arrived in Istanbul, my residence permit had expired the day before my arrival, I had to renew my permit before to leave Istanbul and not when I arrived, So, I was stuck between arrival, security and exit, the only way was for someone to go through security to take my papers, go to the permit counter which was just a few steps from safety, but on the bad side, I never understood that. When I first entered, I entered as a tourist, but still. So following my new work permit, I was entitled to a full search, and I mean FULL. My passport was the cause of this search, a Canadian, who lives in Milan, Italy, with all the pages of my passport stamped from all the countries I have been to, cleared the doubt on me. Seems like my prostate is doing well. I was finally able to return to work.
Aussi, en arrivant à l'aéroport d'Istanbul, lorsque vous entrez, vous et vos bagages doivent passer au rayon X, tout comme lorsque vous allez au cinéma, dans ma chance le film était en anglais sous-titré en Turc. Pour ce qui est de l'aéroport, même si vous avez passé au rayon X en entrant dans l'aéroport, vous devez encore repasser au rayon X avant l'embarquement. Comme si vous pouvez vous procurer des objets illicites entre temps.
Also, when arriving at the airport from Istanbul, when you enter, you and your luggage have to go through the X-ray, just like when you go to the cinema, in my luck the film was in English with Turkish subtitles. As for the airport, even if you have x-rayed upon entering the airport, you still need to x-ray again before boarding. Like you can get illicit items in the meantime.
