30e - L'Écosse - Scotland

 

Me voici rendu en Écosse, la suite d'un petit périple que nous avons fait pour que je puisse aller passer un entrevu chez Aramat, une compagnie à Leeds, qui m'avait demandé en entrevu. Alors toutes dépenses payés, on est parti pour l'Angleterre de Milan, Italie. On en a aussi profité pour joindre l'utile à l'agréable, en passant par la France et faire un petit détour en Écosse. Alors commençons avec les fameux drapeaux, j'ai mi ici le drapeau de l'Écosse et celui de la Grande-Bretagne que tous le monde connaît. 

Here I am, in England. We made a short trip so I could go for an interview at Aramat, a company in Leeds, which had asked me for an interview. So, all expenses paid, we left for England from Milan, Italy. We also took the opportunity to combine business with pleasure, passing through France and making a short detour to Scotland. So let's start with the famous flags. I've put the English flag here and the British flag, which everyone knows.

Pour l'occasion, on a eu la chance de louer une Alfa Roméo 147 avec une plaque de Rome, Italie, disons qu'on nous remarquait sur les lumières rouges et les stationnements. Une superbe voiture sport qui tient bien la route. 

For the occasion, we were lucky enough to rent an Alfa Romeo 147 with a Rome, Italy license plate, so let's just say we were noticed at red lights and in parking lots. A superb sports car that handles well.

 

Nous avons passé une semaine en Grande Bretagne, comme vous le savez déjà et on est parti de Hebden Bridge pour aller visiter l'Écosse. Sur un lever de soleil, car on ne voulait rien manqué et on est parti vers l'Écosse. Partout par ici les couleurs sont incroyables, ses petites routes comme je les aime, les montagnes, les vallons et dans notre chance, les superbes vaches Highland, des brunes et des blanches, qui s'offraient à nous, on s'est attardé un peu, j'ai même été en toucher une, très docile.

We spent a week in Great Britain, as you already know, and we left Hebden Bridge to visit Scotland. At sunrise, because we didn't want to miss anything, we headed off to Scotland. Everywhere around here the colors are incredible, its little roads just the way I like them, the mountains, the valleys, and in our luck, the superb Highland cows, brown and white, which were offered to us. We lingered a little, I even went to touch one, very docile. 

Partout ou je regardais, les paysages me coupaient le souffle, les photos sont bien, mais ils ne sont pas comme si on y était. Même les moutons se sont mis de la partie à plusieurs reprises. 

Everywhere I looked, the scenery took my breath away. The photos are good, but they don't feel like you're there. Even the sheep got involved a few times. 

 

On a visiter le Loch Ness et d'autres petits Loch en passant, avec leurs châteaux, mais pas de chance, le monstre du Loch Ness, ne s'est pas montré le bout du museau. Très mignon comme coin, dommage que les touristes ont sûrement envahi le coin lorsque la nouvelle est sorti. Mais la signalisation est très mignonne avec le monstre du Loch Ness. On s'est attardé dans la région, jolie église avec son cimetière. une maison très mignonne, un champ d'étrange culture et aussi le fameux Loch Ness dans le lointain, avec sa baie.   

We visited Loch Ness and other small lochs along the way, with their castles, but no luck, the Loch Ness monster didn't show its face. A very cute place, too bad the tourists probably invaded the area when the news came out. But the sign is very cute with the Loch Ness Monster. We lingered in the area, pretty church with its cemetery, a very cute house, a field of strange crops and also the famous Loch Ness in the distance, with its bay.

 

 

 

On a été faire une petite virée jusqu'au bout de l'Écosse, la route semblait sans fin. On était presque dans la mer du Nord, très gris comme temps mais assez incroyable, de la plage on pouvait voir une plate forme pétrolière en fond de décors. Même les goélands ont l'air de se dire, l'eau est dans le très frette. 

We went on a little road trip to the end of Scotland, the road seemed endless. We were almost in the North Sea, very gray weather but quite incredible, from the beach we could see an oil rig in the background. Even the seagulls seemed to be thinking, the water is very cold. 

       

En retournant à l'auberge, on est passé par Inverness, avec ce château de nuit, quand même assez éclairé.  

On the way back to the hostel, we passed through Inverness, with its castle at night, which was still quite lit. 

Je trouvais que je n'avais pas assez de photos d'Inverness et de Édinourg, alors ce qui suit sont des photos prises sur Google.

I felt I didn't have enough photos of Inverness and Edinburgh, so the following are photos taken from Google. 

 

Notre dernier arrêt, la ville de Édinbourg, l'architecture incroyable mais le plus beau est sont pont en Cantilever comme le vieux pont de Québec, mais ici on parle sérieusement, il est énorme. Maintenant ils ont construit deux autres ponts tout près. Les ponts de Forth.

 

Our last stop, the city of Edinburgh, incredible architecture but the most beautiful is its cantilever bridge like the old Quebec Bridge, but here we are talking seriously, it is enormous. Now they have built two other bridges nearby. The Forth Bridges. 

 

 

Sur ses photos, on est retourné tranquillement à l'auberge. 

Une petite virée pour voir du pays. L'Écosse est un endroit de rêve, j'espère y retourner un jour.

A little trip to see the country. Scotland is a dream place, I hope to return there one day.

Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It contains nearly one-third of the United Kingdom's land area, consisting of the northern part of the island of Great Britain and more than 790 adjacent islands, principally in the archipelagos of the Hebrides and the Northern Isles. The legislature, the Scottish Parliament, elects 129 members to represent 73 constituencies across the country.
