Les Aurores Boréales à Iqaluit – The Northern Light in Iqaluit !!

La nuit dernière mon ami Alan est venu me tirer de chez moi pour que je puisse prendre des photos des merveilleuses aurores boréales, avec son 4 X 4, nous sommes partis avec des amis pour nous rendre dans la région de la route qui ne mène nulle part.

Last night my friend Alan came to pull me out of my apartment to go taking picture of the Northern Light, with is 4 X 4, we went with friend to Road to Nowhere.


Là bas, pas vraiment de succès, mais nous avons beaucoup rit, disons qu’il faisait froid, très froid et que nous ne voyons rien, ajustement, trépied, changement de batterie, près de -40C, les batteries ne durent pas très longtemps (ainsi que mes doigts et d’autres parties de mon corps),prise de vue et comparaison de nos résultats.

There, not even one good picture, we have some good laugh, it was cold, very cold and we can’t see anything, adjust, tripod, change battery, near -40C, the batteries don’t last very long (also my fingers and some parts of my body), shot and compare some results.

Par la suite, Alan nous a reconduit chez nous, mais arrivant à la maison, Shelley (http://shelley-thebigmove.blogspot.com) à remarquer qu’au dessus de chez moi, nous avions un spectacle incroyable. Beaucoup de plaisirs, les ajustements avaient été fait alors moi j’ai pris mes photos sans trépied à f2.8/8 secondes/400ASA, le mieux que je pouvais faire avec ma caméra.

After that, Alan brings us back home, when we arrived at my place, Shelley (http://shelley-thebigmove.blogspot.com) notice that over my place, we had a nice show. A lot of laughs, we already know how to adjust the camera, I took those pictures at f2.8/8 seconds/400ASA, the best I can do with my camera.

Cette dernière photo assez bizarre nous a bien fait rigoler, on se demandait comment j’ai bien pu la prendre, suite à une analyse, on a découvert que je prenais la photo avec un minuteur et avant que le fameux 8 secondes, je prenais la caméra et voila le fameux mouvement des couleurs. J’ai passé une belle soirée et nous avons bien rit, surtout que je leurs ai dit qu’au lieu d’aller à l’autre bout d’Iqaluit on n’avait qu’à se mettre sur mon balcon.

This last picture, weird, make us laugh a lot, we had no clue, how did I took it, after analysis, we find out that I took the picture with a timer, and before the famous 8 seconds, I took the camera and that why we have those moving colors. I passed a nice evening and we laugh a lot, especially that I tell them that instead of going to the end of Iqaluit, we only need to go on my balcony.
