Aventures au Nunavut - Adventures in Nunavut

In a blink of an eye, after more than 6 months in Nunavut (63e parallel see map).
I took a lot of pictures, but nothing like today. With a chance in a million to take a picture of a Snowy Owl in the wild, today I had the chance to take a picture of this splendid bird. Not very savage, but nevertheless didn't seem to like me, I appreciated my 12X zoom. I passed more than 20 minutes only to observe him. I chose my 2 best pictures.
As time passed by, I will try to catch up on my blog. I will add some small adventures, stories, and juicy anecdotes to my blog. I also will force myself to translate my blog for my friends of Nunavut like my friends around the world.
A small island in the Frobisher Bay near Iqaluit. Below, the same island in the fog, here in a short period of time the area cover with fog which can be transformed into a very thick fog. You can also see the remain of a little Iceberg in the back, this picture was taken in september.
Below, I took different picture to demonstrate the incredible tide. You can see the low and high tide in the Apex bay, a nice village near Iqaluit.
Below, a cruise boat waiting near Iqaluit in the fog. The bay near Iqaluit is not deep enough due to is incredible tide, the boat need to stay away from Iqaluit. They don't have a deep sea port for the moment.
For now, you have a small hint of the pictures which will follow, if you visit my web site, you will be able to see some other pictures while waiting for the update of this blog.
